Dr. Matt Thorne
Professional Background
Dr. Matt Thorne has a lifelong passion and love for dentistry. From an early age, he wanted to become a dentist to be able to serve his community and help families of all kinds smile brighter in their everyday lives. He loves interacting with patients one-on-one in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Dr. Thorne is confident in his highly trained team to personalize the dental experience, taking the fear and intimidation out of dentistry. He provides exceptional dental services to patients of all ages in the North Richland Hills, Keller, Fort Worth, Colleyville, and surrounding areas.
Dr. Thorne transferred from Grapevine High School to Trinity Christian Academy, where he graduated. He received a scholarship to Abilene Christian University, where he played baseball and received his Bachelor’s degree in biology, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. Next, Dr. Thorne attended the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
After earning his DDS, Dr. Thorne spent several years in a large group practice working directly with many dental specialists. He then went on to build his own thriving dental practice. He has completed advanced training at Engle Implant Training Institute for complex implant dentistry. Dr. Thorne also trained at Oklahoma School of Dentistry for advanced Endodontic treatment. He has additional training in sedation dentistry, dental implantology, Cone Beam Computerized Topography (CBCT) imaging, 3-dimensional dental printing, and intraoral digital scanning.
After a recent ice storm caused extensive damage to the office, Dr. Thorne made it his mission to rebuild, remodel, and update with brand-new equipment and the most advanced technology available in dentistry. This includes 3-D Cone Beam Computerized Topography (CBCT), Sprintray Ceramic Resin 3-D Printer, Sirona Primescan Intraoral Scanner, Dexis Platinum and Titanium Radiographic Sensors, Nomad Pro 2 Handheld X-ray Units, and advanced software to provide convenient in-office SAME DAY restorations with the highest accuracy. Personal Life
Dr. Matt Thorne enjoys spending time with his wife, Brooke, and their five children. During his time off, he is a dedicated Christian husband and father who attends their horseback races, dance recitals, sports games, theater productions, and more!
Dr. Thorne is passionate about fitness and nutrition. He believes in total body wellness to aid in the treatment and prevention of disease, including oral health.
